GOLF ETIQUETTE

Courtesy on the Course:
Golfers should always be aware of other players and respect their right to enjoy the facility. Golfers searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not be easily found. They should not search longer than five minutes.

A single player has no standing on the course. Faster players must always be requested to play through slower players without regard to the number of players in either game. If a game fails to keep its position and a space of one clear hole opens between it and the players in front, it must request the game following to play through.

NOTE: THE CLUB HAS ADOPTED "READY GOLF" IN ORDER TO EXPEDITE PLAY. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE LONGER THAN 4:10 (FOUR HOURS TEN MINUTES) TO PLAY 18 HOLES AT BEACONSFIELD.

Care on the Course:
All persons on the putting greens must wear flat-heeled, soft spiked shoes.

It is obligatory that all members use a tee on all teeing grounds and members are requested to refrain from taking a practice swing that results in a divot.

All practicing must be done on the practice fairway situated to the east of and parallel to the first fairway, or the practice putting greens by the 1st tee and by the patio area of the clubhouse.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE POWERED CARTS PERMITTED INSIDE THE WHITE MARKERS IN FRONT OF EACH GREEN. PULL CARTS MUST NOT BE TAKEN THROUGH THE FRINGE AREAS NEAR THE GREENS THAT ARE ROPED OFF.

Cellular Phones:
Except for security or emergency purposes, use of cellular phones is prohibited on all club property. Members are reminded that there are public phones in and around the clubhouse, and that emergency incoming calls should be directed to the pro shop.
