The Sir George A. Drummond Cup
Origin:
The original cup was presented by Sir George A. Drummond in 1903.
However, it was won for the third consecutive year in 1927 by John H. McBride, in recognition of which he was allowed to keep the trophy.
Mr. Huntley R. Drummond, son of the original donor, presented an exact replica of the cup in 1928, so that the competition would continue.
Competition:
Annual — best low net score.
First winner of the replica cup in 1929 was R.C. Smith.
Winner in the 1978 competition was S. Palo. |

Social-Medical (SM), Social-Financial (SF) or Leave of Absence (LOA)
Regular Social category members wishing to upgrade their membership category shall pay the prevailing entrance fees less any entrance fees previously paid to become a Social member.
Social-Medical (SM):
Any member may apply for Social-Medical member status prior to April 1 of the coming season. Initially, no medical evidence shall be required. Medical evidence, however, may be required for the second and subsequent years. The member shall pay dues applicable to Social membership category.

Social-Medical member status may be granted to the spouse of the Social-Medical member on grounds of compassion. Social-Medical member status may also be granted to a member for purposes of providing health care to a family member.
Members wishing Social-Medical member status after the commencement of the season shall submit their request in writing. Those members shall be entitled to a credit against future year's dues, as follows:
Application submitted:
- after April 1 - 75% credit
- after May 1 - 50% credit
- after June 15 - 40% credit
- after August 1 - 30% credit
No additional entrance fees shall be required to transfer back from Social-Medical member to previous membership category. All other privileges and obligations of a regular Social category membership shall apply.
Social-Financial (SF):
Any member may apply for Social-Financial member status prior to April 1 of the coming season. In order to be considered, the member must submit written representation to the board of directors describing the reasons why they are unable to maintain their regular membership status.
If accepted, the Social-Financial member status shall only apply for the current year. Members must re-apply each year for Social-Financial member status, regardless of obvious circumstances.
Social-Financial member wishing to be reinstated in the same year shall pay an additional sum in proportion to the remaining time period in the season, plus an additional administration fee equal to 10 % of the corresponding annual dues.
Social-Financial member status shall not be considered for applications received after April 1 of any year. No member shall be entitled to Social-Financial member status for more than 3 years/seasons, consecutive or otherwise, without payment of entrance fees, as established for Leave Of Absence members. All other privileges and obligations of a regular Social category membership shall apply.
Leave of Absence (LOA):
Any member may apply for Leave Of Absence status. No annual dues or any other fees shall be required. Leave Of Absence status must be requested prior to April 1 of any year.
Any member granted Leave Of Absence status may return to the club in their previously held (fully paid) membership category, upon payment of a reinstatement fee, as follows, subject to submitting a proper application and approval by the board of directors:
