CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Board Nominated Membership:
The Board may grant a Board Nominated member-ship to a person for a period of one year. This allows the individual member full clubhouse and course privileges for a year without being balloted for membership. The nominated member must then make a normally sponsored application for member-ship the following year if he is to continue as a member.
Playing privileges are described under Playing Privileges & Restrictions.
Election of Members:
Every Candidate for any class of membership shall be proposed and seconded by two (2) members and supported by a letter of recommendation by four (4) other members, all of whom personally know the candidate well. Every candidate shall also be made known to two Directors.
As soon as practicable after candidates have been selected by the Board, the members shall be notified by mail of the names of the candidates. The Board, shall, after considering every communication made to any Director, and after such time as they shall deem advisable, vote by ballot on the candidates whose names appear in such notice.
All Non-Resident, Intermediate, Junior, Associate and Board nominated memberships have limited privileges that are determined by the Board of Directors.
When quotas for specific categories of membership are full, a waiting list is set up and applicants are notified as vacancies occur.
Applications for Intermediate, and Junior members are made annually as these categories are subject to Board approval and are elected for one year only. These members must reapply annually for re-election.
Entrance Fees and Annual Dues:
All membership categories may be subject to an entrance fee as is set from time to time by the Board of Directors. Details on this may be obtained from the Club office.
All members, excluding Honourary, are subject to annual dues as set by the Board for each membership category. The annual dues must be paid in the manner as prescribed by the Board. Currently, dues are payable 50% by February 1st, the balance no later than April 30th.
In the event that the annual dues or any installment thereof remain unpaid for a period of thirty days, the Board may cancel a membership unless, in its opinion, circumstances justify delay or other action.
Resignations:
Applications for transfer of membership from one category to another as well as letters of resignation must be received by the Honourary Secretary no later than April 1st to be effective in the current year.
