The Shorey Cup
Origin:
The original Cup was presented to Beaconsfield Golf Club by Charles L. Shorey, a founding member and a member of the first Board of Directors.
The first cup was destroyed in the 1929 club house fire and a replacement C.L. Shorey Cup was subsequently donated by Mr. Shorey's sons in memory of their father.
Competition:
Annual — match play, net.
First winner of the replacement Cup in 1929 was R.B. Chillas.
Winner of The Shorey Cup in 1978 was J. Daccord. |
