Canada Cup
The World Golf Competition, which is held annually in exotic venues around the world, started in Canada at Beaconsfield Golf Club in 1953.
In its early years, it was known as the Canada Cup Matches and six countries participated. In the first year of competition, the Canadian team of Bill Kerr and Stan Leonard finished second to Argentina, represented by Antonio Cerda and Roberto Di Vincenzo. |
